Rich Liebson

Rich Liebson grew up on military bases in the U.S. and Germany as the son of an Air Force master sergeant. After serving four years in the U.S. Army he was hired as a part-time reporter in 1983 and promoted to full-time in 1985. He's had a number of beats over the years including education, municipal government and public safety. He's also been a columnist and city editor for central Westchester. Rich lives in White Plains.

PETA gives Burberry the booby prize

Cops and cop reporters usually deal with misery, tragedy and sometimes death, so yesterday’s topless PETA protest at The Westchester mall in White Plains against the use of fur by Burberry stores was a welcome relief from the usual grind.

The giggling, jiggling demonstrators attracted an ample supply of both, with no fewer than three news crews and at least a dozen of White Plains’ Finest showing up to “do our jobs.”
