For tomorrow’s charity softball game between NFL linebacker Keith Bullock’s team of all-pros versus Rockland cops and firefighters, the Rockland team’s manager, Spring Valley Detective Reggie Anderson, has announced his players.
The game is set – rain or shine – for 4 p.m. at the Herbert Reisman Sports Complex at the Eugene Levy Park on Route 45 in Ramapo. The game will raise money to help young people through Bullock’s Believe and Achieve Foundation and the Rockland County Parent Aid Fund’s Foster Care Program.
Playing for Anderson’s team include: state police Lt. Mike Greco, aka “Utility, Mr. Everything;” investigators Mike Dewitt (3B, 1B, DH) Lennie Caruso (SS, 3B) and Trooper Pete Cirigliano (OF); five Sheriff’s Department officers: Marcos (OF), Nelson (3B), Espo (OF, Catcher), Pat (SS, Pitcher) Foody (starting pitcher), and from Spring Valley PD: Scott K. (3B) and Chris Corba (SS). Anderson said he was still awaiting for the firefighters to step up to the plate.
Bullock, a Clarkstown North High School and Syracuse University graduate, plays for the Tennessee Titans. He has not yet announced the players on his team. But two years ago, Rockland’s finest and bravest battled the NFLers to a 10-10 tie.
After the game, the players will sign autopgraphs
Tonight, the festivities will kick off with a party at Black Bear Saloon from 8 p.m. to midnight. It will include a raffle and auction with proceeds going to the charity event.
