Junior Gotti vs. the Soccer Mom? Fuhgeddaboutit!

Soccer mom Patricia Santangelo’s fight against the recording industry’s music downloading lawsuit in White Plains Federal Court has garnered quite a bit of attention from the online community. Google the words “Patricia Santangelo” and RIAA (the umbrella group that represents the record companies) and you get 39,200 hits. For the record, that’s nearly 10,000 more hits than for reputed Gambino mobster John Junior Gotti, whose criminal racketeering trial was the biggest recent case in the Southern District of New York. But Santangelo has a ways to go before she reaches the heights of domestic doyenne turned convicted felon Martha Stewart. A search on “Martha Stewart” and “U.S. Attorney” yields 81,800 hits.
